From the president's desk

Welcome to OPUUSA Oroki Asala

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the web site of our Great Union, The Osogbo Progressive Union USA (OPUUSA). Members of OPUUSA are sons and daughters of the blessed city of Osogbo living in the United States of America. We strongly believe in the importance of helping others and giving back to where we came from, Osogbo. We are of the opinion that all of us achieve our level of success today by reason of a vast network of people who supported us and allow us to be where we are today. It is therefore incumbent on us to help others as well and everyone has the ability to help in some way or another. We also believe that what you do for yourself dies with you and what you do for others lives forever.

Currently, we have chapters in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Florida, Houston, Maryland/DC, Philadelphia, and New York. We also have our members living in other states such as California, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Missouri, Indiana where we do not have chapters yet. As a philanthropic organization, OPUUSA has embarked on various projects in Osogbo one of which is a yearly scholarship awards to Osogbo indigenes attending Universities in Nigeria. We embanked on biennial medical mission to Osogbo . Also started a biennial empower program for Artisan of Osogbo indigene, among other projects aimed at the development of Osogbo and her descendants. I am appealing to all sons and daughters of Osogbo living in the United States to please join us and let us make our blessed city of Osogbo and her people greater and greater.
